I have been teaching piano since 2000. My education background is that I have completed my Royal Conservatory A.R.C.T. Piano Teacher Diploma. I am also a member of a professional music teachers' assocation, the Manitoba Registered Music Teachers' Association which is the provincial branch of the national organization, The Canadian Federated Music Teacher's Association.

I teach all ages, from young children to adults.  There are many different piano methods  available and I teach several of them depending on the goal of the student and the age. There are methods for the serious student who wishes to do exams and receive certification. They include the Royal Conservatory and Conservatory Canada methods. For students that want a more relaxed learning pace, there are several good methods such as Faber and Faber. For adults and older beginners including children, there are method books available which use different repertoire and the pace is adjusted to reflect the abilities of the older learner. I have experience with all these methods and will recommend the appropriate method for a new student.

The front room of our home is dedicated to the piano studio.  Lessons for most students are conducted on the Petrof 6' 4" grand piano shown below, while younger students begin on a Yamaha upright piano located in the same room. I also have a keyboard which ocasionally I will use.

If you have a child who is ready for lessons, or if you would like to fulfill a lifelong dream of learning to play the piano, please give me a call at the number shown above, or email me to arrange a free consultation in the studio.
